What each exam is

Quiz 1 on 18 March: a supervised quiz at an exam centre. It covers the first four weeks.
Programming quiz 1 on 7 and 8 April: OPPE 1, over a Saturday and a Sunday.
Quiz 2 on 15 April: the second centre-based quiz. It covers the first eight weeks. Read how the two quizzes count for the scoring side.
Programming quiz 2 on 29 April and 6 May: OPPE 2, over two Sundays. The OPPE explainer covers the rules.
End term on 13 May: the final exam, 1.5 hours per course.

How to plan this term

Quiz 1 comes 37 days after the start, on 18 March.
Then you get 20 days until programming quiz 1. This is the best stretch for coding practice.
Programming quiz 1 and Quiz 2 fall on back-to-back weekends: 7 and 8 April, then 15 April. Revise for Quiz 2 before 7 April, because the week in between is short.
After Quiz 2 you get 14 days, then an exam every Sunday: 29 April, 6 May and the end term on 13 May.

The term before this one is September 2028. The next is May 2029, and all terms are in the 2026 to 2030 exam dates list.

Common questions

I missed the Saturday end term on 6 January 2029. When is my make-up?

It is at this term's end term, on Sunday, 13 May 2029. This works only if you were absent for the end term alone. If you skip this term, you have to repeat the whole course later.

What happens if I miss both quizzes this term?

You will not be allowed to write the end term, and the course counts as failed. You then repeat the full course in a later term. Writing either Quiz 1 on 18 March or Quiz 2 on 15 April keeps you eligible, along with the assignment rule.

Can I drop a course after seeing my Quiz 1 score?

No. A course can be dropped only within 4 weeks of the term start, which is around 9 March 2029. Quiz 1 is on 18 March, after that window closes. See how dropping a course works.
