Which subjects do I need to apply for Electronic Systems?
You need Class 12 (or an equivalent) with Physics and Mathematics.
Is there programming in the Electronic Systems qualifier?
Yes. Introduction to C Programming is one of the four qualifier courses; weeks 3 and 4 introduce writing C programs.
Are there labs during the qualifier?
No. Lab courses come after you join the programme, and some require visits to the IIT Madras campus. The qualifier itself is coursework plus one exam.
